Alydia Jean
Hi, I’m Alydia Jean. My friends call me Alydia. 💜 I was born June 22nd, second day of summer.

A former choir kid, I’m now a singer-songwriter, composer, producer, and artist based in the Milwaukee area. You'll likely find me attending Milwaukee open mics, wandering the county parks, or drinking or serving oatmilk lattes. Or perhaps you won't find me because I left on a cross-country trip and love the road too much...

It Started with a Blog and a Dream
Back in 2018, I started a blog as a way to share the little interpretations and frameworks from my everyday life. "Go read my blog!" I would bark ironically to both my friends and complete strangers ironically, in the hopes that someday the sincerity would stick. Fake it til you make it! My blog became a space where I could express my thoughts, feelings, and the beauty I found in the world around me every once in a while. Now looking back, that small step was the beginning of everything...
Then Came the Courage for More
That blog eventually evolved into a business, and in 2022, I launched Jeanie Bean Creative, LLC, a cozy home for all my creative experiments. I have created jewelry, designed tees and totes, and carefully and painstakingly made stickers that felt like small tokens of joy in a chaotic world recovering from the pandemic.
Knowing cringe is inevitable, I let myself be. Truly knowing someday it would be worth it and I'd find my tenacity endearing. It was always about learning something new, practicing joy, and encouraging self-expression, even (especially) on the messiest days.

And Then Came The Music!
I've always looooved music, and I joined my school choirs as soon as I was allowed to. I became a classic choir & theater kid that mostly played a supporting role in other's stories and spotlights. I'd tried writing music here and there, but it always felt childish and silly. Still, I kept coming back to it.
One day in 2020 while poking around on GarageBand trying to make something, anything... I discovered MIDI features. Finding out that I did not need an electric keyboard or guitar or any physical instrument to create fully produced tracks, the world of songwriting came alive for me.
In 2021, I released my very first original song, summer green. Although I was terrified of the response, I was instantly hooked on the process of writing, recording, and producing music. Since then, I’ve released four albums of original music, each one a diary of my emotional landscape as I learned, grew, and healed inner wounds. Each song represents a moment, a lesson, a thought pattern, or experiences that I may very well cycle through consistently throughout my life.

What kind of music do you make? Um, the kind you listen to? My music... is what it is and I don’t really know how to categorize it. I do my best to to be as honest and real, and a little mysterious. My favorite tool is layered harmonies representing the dissonance and dichotomy of feelings one can experience in a single moment. These songs tell stories of transformation, grief, hope, tenderness, and of being utterly human. I never want to stop exploring my heart and this beautiful journey on Earth.
As Alydia Jean
I’m not pursuing my dreams. I'm pursuing the truest version of myself. I’m the story. The way I interpret the world around me through sound, visuals, movement, colors, light, and connection are what I try to channel into the sound bites you end up hearing. All the music I've created weaves everything together in the grand composition of my existence. Whether we’re on the same path or not, I hope you can find meaning and solidarity in my creations.
I’m working on being aware that the only one experiencing my life, is me. I choose how I continue to exist here in each moment by creating as much beauty, joy, hope, and inspiration that I can. All I want for you is to be inspired to the unique person you are.
Alydia Jean on the Road
Late 2025 brought me one of the most groundbreaking experiences of my life, a roadtrip-to-nowhere/intuitive tour of America. While one ukulele was stolen from me, two more were gifted to me in return. Following the call is proving to pay in ways I couldn't imagine, and I know that wealth isn't just about possessions or money. Life is about the balance between creation and consumption - the only way to learn this balance is to dive into creation and find your desires, your inspiration, and your limits while connecting with people face-to-face and heart-to-heart.
Traveling the US to Elizabethtown, KY; Pensacola, FL; 41st Frank Brown International Songwriters' Festival at Flora-Bama; and New Orleans, LA brought so much joy and wonder to my little life that I will never go back to playing small to make other's comfortable.
Home & Honing In
2026 as been a year of recalibration and reconnection with myself and my community. I've been writing music to heal from wounds I didn't know I had as I learn the balance between living the slow life and being the person to make my own dreams come true. Open mics have been my safe space as I practice new and unreleased music. The friends and connections I've made along the way have been more valuable than I ever dreamed. I've started treating my voice as an asset instead of a constant irritant and I've been invited to work with and collaborate with other Milwaukee artists and producers, including Jesse Garwood, CRISTVNO, and DR3 WAY. I cannot wait to see what other beautiful opportunities the future holds!
To you: I hope you stay soft in a world that demands warriors. I hope you find the confidence to create something of your own in this chaotic world. The only one experiencing your life is you.
Thanks for being here. Really. 💜
